Ingredients:
- 2 (6 oz) salmon fillets
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
- 1/2 tsp brown sugar
Instructions:
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for at least 3 minutes to ensure a crisp sear.
- Pat the salmon fillets bone-dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
- Brush the fillets lightly with avocado oil on all sides.
- Mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar. Press the spice rub firmly onto the top and sides of the fillets.
- Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down, leaving space between them for air circulation.
- Air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145°F for fully cooked or 130-135°F for medium-rare.
