Ingredients:

  • 2 (6 oz) salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp brown sugar

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for at least 3 minutes to ensure a crisp sear.
  2. Pat the salmon fillets bone-dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture.
  3. Brush the fillets lightly with avocado oil on all sides.
  4. Mix the smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and brown sugar. Press the spice rub firmly onto the top and sides of the fillets.
  5. Place the fillets in the air fryer basket, skin-side down, leaving space between them for air circulation.
  6. Air fry at 400°F for 8–10 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to check for an internal temperature of 145°F for fully cooked or 130-135°F for medium-rare.
